Your one stop pundit shop.
Dan Schnur thinks that Barack Obama may have stayed overseas too long with his stops in London and Paris because “playing diplomat in Western Europe looked premature.” My search continues for Mr. Schnur’s criticism of John McCain’s stops in London and Paris this spring. By the way, did I mention that Mr. Schnur was McCain’s national communications director in 2000?
Jamie Gorelick seems stunned over “the bold and illegal influence of politics at the Justice Department over the past eight years.” Apparently she hasn’t been paying attention. And while her heart may be in the right place as she declares that steps must be taken to ensure this never happens again, her call for Michael Mukasey to do something about it shows that she still isn’t paying attention.
Richard Cohen doesn’t know Barack Obama but he does know that John McCain was a POW. Read the column and remember, Deborah Howell describes Cohen as one of the Washington Post’s liberal columnists. Really.
Nick Pope says we ignore UFO sightings at our own peril. So if you see any suspicious characters with a mile wide cigar-shaped craft, call 911 so there won’t be another 9/11.
William McGurn wants to send Blackwater in to save Darfur, and reminds us that:
Most of the attention the company has attracted has been for its security work in protecting U.S. diplomats in Iraq.
Uh, yeah. That’s what I think of when I think of Blackwater.
Michael J. Boskin says that Barack Obama is intelligent and has a way with words, but if he gets his way “the American economy would suffer a serious setback.” So elect John McCain for four more years of the Bush economic policies since that has worked out so well.
Michele Bachmann (R-MN) warns that when it comes to drilling for oil, Democrats are up to their old tricks. The want drilling done in an environmentally safe way, they want the work done by union workers and they want to force those poor oil companies to either develop the leases they already hold or lose them. Damn libruls!
